Sunny D Rebrand
For this rebrand, I leaned into the playful energy of the 1980s, the decade when the brand shortened its name from "Sunny Delight" to "Sunny D" to sound more youthful and hip. I couldn’t help but think "Sunny D" sounded like the name of a rapper, so I ran with it, making Sunny D the Rapper the new face of the bottle.
This concept gave me the chance to blend bold 80s design aesthetics with my love for character design and fun, expressive illustration. The original packaging felt static and outdated, so my goal was to inject personality, movement, and — most of all — sunshine into the design. The result is a more dynamic, engaging, and just plain fun version of Sunny D.
