I'm Celia Straubhaar
Hi I'm Celia, I'm a graphic designer and illustrator, but I’ve always been a bit of an outsider. Ever since I was little, I never really fit the mold—I was taller, quirky, and always the 'art kid.' Growing up on a farm, I was constantly surrounded by hands-on labor and physical work, which became the exact foundation I naturally used to create art. In high school, the art room was my sanctuary, and it was there I knew I had to pursue this path.
Recently, I’ve been exploring new avenues within design. In college, I grew to love typography, and since then, I’ve been experimenting with modified type—challenging myself to create letterforms that are entirely unique but still readable. The trades-girl inside of me is always there, keeping my work grounded and practical. Beyond the design studio, you’ll usually find me helping out my family, cooking, practicing figure drawing, or out on roller skates.
