Client: Queen Gig Poster
As a massive Queen fan, I repurposed this "Killer Queen" playing card illustration from a previous project. Originally designed for a cherry-infused Bones Coffee packaging—hence her stabbing a cherry in the sketches—I realized it was a perfect match for the iconic song. I love how no matter which way you hang the poster, there is no wrong side up.
This was a strict three-color project, but I used overprinting—layering the red directly over the blue—to trap a darker, fourth tone. It adds incredible depth, detail, and an extra touch of gore, giving the piece a complex look with effortless execution.
When illustrating this in Adobe Fresco, pulling off that overlapping effect required total precision. I had to be incredibly mindful of color placement and layer hierarchy, making strict organization an absolute must to ensure the overprinted sections mapped out perfectly.
Client: Limp Bizkit T-Shirt
This three-color screen print onto a gray garment was an open-concept project, so naturally, I went full Limp Bizkit. The inspiration sparked from a meme that captioned a gorgeous girl cooking as "Me cooking my hot dog flavored water."
Running with that iconic band reference, I subbed out the meme girl for one of their backup dancers from the "Rollin'" music video, making sure to top her off with Fred Durst’s signature backward red baseball cap.
Client: Forklift Parking Sign
This project required a strict three-color palette, using overprinting to generate a fourth color. I chose yellow, orange, and blue, knowing that trapping the orange and blue would create a rich brown tone. The moment I saw that combination, it screamed "vintage poster."
For the subject, I looked right outside my window. My dad runs a recycling business from our farm and uses his forklift for everything—including daily transportation. He even has a makeshift parking spot directly in front of our house. As a nod to how much he loves that machine, I designed a custom forklift parking sign so customers and family finally know exactly who that spot belongs to.
